Ammar R. Algburi, a Ph.D. lecturer in Biology and Biotechnology Dept./ C ollege of Science – University of Diyala, published a Minireveiw titiled as “Control of biofilm formation: Antibiotics and beyond”. This manuscript was published in Applied and Enviromental Microbiology Journal (Americam society for Microbiology group) which has an impact factor 4.31. This journal is issued fron USA.

Physics Department at the College of Science – University of Diyala, discussed the thesis masters student (Omar Abd Al-Wahhab Ahmed) entitled (Preparation and characterization of ferromagnetic / ferroelectric composite film) on (Thuresday) (2017/3/9) in the Discussions Hall at the Deanship of the College of Science.

As a result of continuous efforts and constant quest for top positions at the international level and continuous follow-up by the deanship of the college that is represented by Assistant Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussain Mubarak and Associate Dean for Administrative and Academic Affairs Dr. Karim Hneksh Hassan, the project of College of Science, University of Diyala to develop and update the curriculum for undergraduate study has been successfully chosen by American IREX.

Prof. Dr. Nabil Ali Bakr, who is a lecturer at the Department of Physics, College of Sciences, University of Diyala, has been selected to work as an examiner in the Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics that issued by Springer-International Publisher Science

Dr. Karim Hneksh Hassan, who is a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry Sciences, College of Science, University of Diyala, and who is an associate dean for the academic and students affairs at the college has got a membership from the American Chemical Society.

The first Skype meetingto discuss the small grant project of college of science of University of Diyalawith IREX was held on Tuesday 28February 2017 at 3:30-4:30 pm where we are represented by the Dean of College of science professor Tahseen H Mubarak and the assistant dean professor Karim H Hassan

As a result of the ongoing care of Mr. Rector Prof. Dr. Abbas Fadhil Al_Dulaimi, the continuous and relentless pursuit and follow up of Mr. Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussain Mubarak and the College Deanship, it has been obtaining the official approvals from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to open a “department of Bio-technology” as a seventhscientific department at the College of Science, University of Diyala, as well as, a branch “Medical Physics” after the second grade at the department of Physics Science, so it can receive it’s students in the new session, 2016-2017.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Hadi, who is a lecturer at the Biology Science Department at our college, has got patented from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, Ministry of Planning because he found the possibility of using the separated Gallic acid of Calvatia craniformis by the advanced chemical ways to treat cancer laboratory infected glands murine mammary cancer (M-22).

Research team at Physics science department, College of Science, University of Diyala that consist of each  Assistant Professor Dr. Ziyad Tarik Khudair and  Professor Asad Ahmed Kamel have published a paper in one of the international journals

Prof. Dr. Nabil Mohi Abdul Hamid, who is Biology professor of oncology at the department of biochemistry and the former dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kafr El-Sheikh in the Republic of Egypt, has visited on Sunday morning 18/09/2016 the College of Science at the University of Diyala. he was received by Mr. Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussain Mubarak. This visit was within the framework of international scientific cooperation among University of Diyala and universities in other countries of the world.
